WOOT Insurance Agency is an independent agency licensed in New York and New Jersey. The agency works with business owners to identify exposures, approach available insurance markets, and compare coverage terms without implying that one carrier or policy fits every business.
Commercial insurance is the primary focus—from general liability, workers’ compensation, commercial auto, and property to automotive, contractor, restaurant, retail, and other small-business risks.
WOOT’s role is to take the mystery out of insurance: ask better questions, help organize the underwriting information, explain available choices, and remain accessible when the policy needs service.
Founder & commercial insurance broker
Evan R. Sanders
Evan is the founder of WOOT Insurance Agency and a third-generation insurance broker who learned the business through his father and grandfather. He combines that family foundation with formal business and technology education.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in information systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University. His technology background informs WOOT’s emphasis on clear processes, responsive service, and thoughtful use of modern tools.
Outside the agency, Evan is a New York Knicks and Yankees fan. He enjoys pickleball, basketball, and horseback riding with family and friends.
